Hi! I'm Gabi. I am so glad that you are here! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I founded Funkyblossoms. It was a hot and hectic Sunday morning in the New York City Subway. Rushing to work (as one does in NYC!) I lost my footing on the stairwell, tripping and breaking my knee. I realized I had taken for granted my ability to do something as simple as walk or even stand. Suddenly, I couldn't stand or walk for more than 15 minutes at a time, which was incredibly frustrating and devastating for someone who had always led an active lifestyle. During the months of recovery, I was forced to slow down and reflect on my life. I found myself reevaluating my career path and priorities, thinking deeply about what truly mattered to me. This period of introspection led me to recognize how important it was to be grateful for every moment and opportunity. I realized that life was too short not to follow my passions. It was through this challenging time that I discovered my true life purpose: working with my hands to craft art, with the intention of spreading joy in the world. I realized I could achieve this through the beauty and sharing of flowers. My lifelong passion for flowers gave me the motivation to embark on a new journey, transforming a painful setback into an opportunity to create and connect with others in a meaningful way. Through Funkyblossoms, I can now share the beauty of flowers, spreading joy and gratitude with each creation. I am able to use flowers to bring beauty and joy to special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and even moments of loss where a flower can bring a touch of comfort. Having the ability to create arrangements for these meaningful moments is a humbling gift. I take the utmost pride when crafting an arrangement, knowing that my designs are an important part of my customer's life events. Sharing a bit of joy with our friends and community is one of the greatest gifts. Life is transient and ever-changing, like flowers. Flowers serve as a poignant reminder of the cycle of life. My life has led me on this path, and I am sincerely grateful for my humble beginnings and where I am today. I believe in smiling, doing what I love, and always stopping to smell the flowers. What happens if the recipient isn’t home?
If the recipient isn’t available, our driver will either leave the flowers in a safe spot or, if needed, arrange a re-delivery at a later time.
